With experience spanning Frankfurt, Sydney and Shenzhen, and now based in Aalborg, Denmark, I am a technically-minded person interested in understanding the complexities our modern society faces and finding ways to ameliorate our lives.

I am currently looking for a position in or around Aalborg, Denmark, where I will be able to contribute as part of a team to explore and investigate patterns made visible by data or to devise, and improve on, technical solutions to better people’s lives.

Sydney & remote, Jun 2023 – current
FireMapper | Consultant Software Developer
  • Drastically reduced the amount of network data required to display maps to on-the-ground bushfire firefighters.
  • Added functionality to quickly search and filter for maps (as well as for fellow agency members).
  • Trained firefighters in-person to use FireMapper and assisted in the largest onboarding of a new client fire agency.

Collaboration on Energy and Environmental Markets | Research Assistant
  • Enabled higher time resolution analysis of energy disturbance events in Australia.
  • Revived stale code which could no longer be installed by removing out-dated dependencies, whilst ensuring coverage over three different platforms with three different versions of R.

  • Led the design and implementation of an automatic document processing system to remove menial tasks from German tax advisors.
  • Drastically sped up the processing of paperwork, through automatic identification of – and extraction of data from – invoices, receipts and other financial documents.

  • Developed proof-of-concept for a pharmaceutical to determine why treatment discontinuity occurs, using insurance claims data to uncover individual and group patient behaviour patterns.
